As an Appleton resident, along with most of my neighbours, I was kept awake until at least 5am on Sunday, August 27, with music from the Creamfields event.
I also experienced considerable inconvenience when travelling around Stockton Heath on the Saturday due to the vast number of revellers going to the concert. I was also horrified at the number of men urinating along Hatton Lane on Saturday afternoon.
I was most interested in last week's Guardian that there was little coverage regarding complaints from residents, as I know there were very many unhappy people. It is obvious that the Warrington Guardian and Warrington Borough Council has a vested interest in this event, hence no published complaints.
Why was the Hatton Arms not allowed to play music outside its marquee after the allotted regular licensing time when the event's music was allowed to blast out until 6am on Sunday morning?
And where was Lord Daresbury and his family over the weekend? Not in residence would be my guess.
Mrs D Nolan Appleton
