IN response to the recent letter from Mr Blanchard, Guardian, April 7, we would like to thank him for his comments and observations over the issue of potholes which featured in the Woolston Voice leaflet which he received.
We would like to respond by confirming that repairs have been carried out on both Holes Lane and Warren Lane in recent times.
Indeed most notable there was a very large pothole that appeared in the centre of the mini roundabout adjacent to the doctor’s surgery which was repaired. Confusion may have arisen however as more potholes have appeared in these spots while the Woolston Voice newsletter was in production.
As ward councillors we regularly report issues such as these but we do encourage residents to contact us to highlight their concerns or to point us in the direction of issues such as these that crop up.
I am unaware of anything else that Mr Blanchard is appearing to question as he did not expand on this in his letter but we are happy to respond accordingly.
Finally, I am pleased that he sees the newsletter as a positive move, which incidentally we produce to alert and inform residents of work undertaken by councillors, to advertise the regular surgeries that we hold at the Woolston hub and to provide our contact details for residents to speak with us directly.
