REGARDING the recent letter from Jonathan Levy, his comment that the Labour Government was ‘wrong not to use apprenticeships as a method of promoting economic growth’, just to clarify, it was the Labour Government that set up the current National Apprenticeship Service which the Conservatives have obviously decided was one of Labour’s ‘better ideas’ and is continuing to fund. It is nice to hear the thoughts of young people enthusiastic about politics but I feel if they wish to go far in this field, they must get their facts right... although, judging by the current lot in Government, maybe not!
