AFTER reading the Guardian last week I am very pleased that Penketh Carnival is to be resurrected and that a new body, the Penketh Events Committee, has been formed for further events on Greystone Rec.
Councillors and people involved in this new venture, could you please listen to the people who live in and around the Greystone Rec area - toilets have got to be provided.
We do not want a repeat of people using our hedgerows as toilets like there has been before.
Some of our houses are being plagued with rats and mice.
The recreation ground is at the moment a disgrace. It's not being cleaned and bottles, cans, food, glass and other unmentionable items are found every morning because of gangs of youths assembling there day and night, causing disturbances.
Something must be done, after all, this is a children's playing field, not a hideout for drunken teenagers.
Could the police or councillors look into this before things get out of hand?
