School4ourkids has maintained the belief throughout this long process that the new build option for Stockton Heath Primary School is the right one. We represent all stakeholders - the majority being parents of children currently attending the school and staff.
We believe we have the better understanding of the limitations imposed by the current building.
We are, therefore, delighted at the decision made on Monday by the borough council's executive board.
Common sense has prevailed and our children are being offered the opportunity of having their already first rate learning and care consolidated within the environs of 21st century facilities. We fully support the decision made, knowing that the majority of parents at the school want this option.
The children are being put first. All future decisions should be based on realistic facts and figures and consideration for the children at the school, not upon sentimentality for bricks and mortar.
