IT seems the cowboys have found a new weapon - the pressure washer.

Armed with this they are calling on people offering to pressure wash the moss etc from their roof tiles.

I am told they are likely to ask up to hundreds of pounds for doing so.

Roof tiles respond to such treatment by becoming highly porous and the end result is a leaky roof.

They should only be subjected to pressure washing if it is to prepare them for a waterproofing renovation treatment, such as Aquaseal.

Beware the cowboys with pressure washers.
