MANY people write letters to the Guardian complaining about litter.
As the council seems apathetic to the problem there seems little point in complaining. Might I suggest getting some people together and cleaning it up yourselves?
Your own actions will certainly make a difference and you will gain a great sense of accomplishment.
I live in Glazebury village which the council all but ignores so I have taken it upon myself to pick up litter and have been doing so for many years. It would be nice if more people did the same.
Too many people expect someone else to do the tidying up.
Until the community starts getting involved to fight this problem this country will never be clean and that is a real shame.
