ON Saturday, May 2, along with friends, we went to see Andy Abrahams in concert at the Parr Hall.

This talented, versatile young man was exceptional.

His presence on stage was very professional and his voice was superb. The only thing that let him down was the audience. Or rather the lack of it.

The Parr Hall is not the best venue in the north west as we still had to sit and endure the concert sat on hard-back chairs, like sitting in a school room.

So who is to blame for the lack of audience, was it the advertising or is it just that people see the Parr Hall as a second-class venue?

It was such a pity that this artist was so let down by the lack of support.

All the people who were there thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Well done Andy, let’s hope we see more of you in the north west perhaps at The Lowry and Bridgewater Hall, or The Brindley?
