I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with the writer of the letter in the Guardian titled ‘The ultimate cruelty’. To make matters worse I found out on Saturday from a bereavement services employee who was opening the cemetary gates at 9.30am that the side gates will remain permanently open 24hrs a day.
I found this unbelievable and questioned the reasons behind it and he said it was down to cutbacks.
I am outraged at this decision as I am sure will all people with family buried in Warrington Cemetery.
I have written to bereavement services to inquire if they will pay for damage caused by vandalism due to this ludicrous decision and am waiting for a reply.
