MY daughter, a mum-of-three, returned from a shopping trip to Matalan to find she was missing a £20 note. She retraced her journey back into town and tried ringing the store explaining that she had new £20 notes that could have got stuck together.
She was told that there was nothing they could do because if takings were £20 up she couldn’t prove that it was hers. She then asked to speak to the manager but was refused.
I have lost all faith in honesty, common sense and compassion. My daughter is a struggling single mum and has lost out.
