HAVING read the article regarding the debate about a single yellow line near Cinnamon Brow CE Primary School I would like to point out to those involved in making the final decision that this was done in Oakwood Avenue for much the same reasons.
When the lines had no effect whatsoever and drivers were still blocking the road, forcing primary school children to negotiate the cars then the busy road, the school governors asked for police help.
They were told at the time that this was impossible and that ‘no parking or waiting’ was not enforceable anyway.
Save the borough some money and yourselves a bright yellow eyesore.
