IF the council is getting tough on dog fouling, as reported in the Warrington Guardian, April 16 in the Local Life section, then why may I ask has it withdrawn the scheme where dog owners were given free dog mess bags.
Also if enforcement officers are ‘clamping down on culprits’, Clr Steve Wright’s words not mine, then where are they?
For the 20 years I’ve been walking around Victoria Park I have yet to see one. And are the same enforcement officers going to be clamping down on the yobs who vandalise and smash glass all over our parks? I think not but I’ll certainly remember all of our councillors’ lack of action come election time.
