WE visited the park at the bottom of Bridgewater Avenue, Westy, over the weekend and on Saturday found glass near the baby swings and cleared it up.
On Sunday we returned to find the park totally trashed: cans were ripped open so children could cut themselves and the roundabout was covered in glass. There was also glass on the other side of the park.
Myself, my husband and a friend attempted to clear the glass near the roundabout and called the police. They contacted the council who within an hour were out to clear the glass from the park.
The police were very helpful and I understand they are very busy but I would like to see more of a prescence around Westy at night.
