I PARKED at Walton Hall on Sunday to take my family to the park.
I paid my £3 parking fee and returned to find a parking ticket with a £50 fine.
This would be reduced to £25 if I paid the fine within 14 days.
I was being fined for parking over the bay line.
I had not done this intentionally but due to the car on my side being on the line when I arrived I had simply parked equidistant between the cars on both sides of mine.
The space was a wide one and my parking did not prevent the neighbouring car from parking properly so I did not feel it was a problem.
I am extremely annoyed that I have been charged this money when my action did not cause any loss to anyone as all spaces were still useable and I was just using the space left between two other cars.
I thought it might be worth mentioning in the paper to warn others of the financial consequences of visiting a council run park?
