IN the March 5 edition of the Guardian there was an article on the front page asking what makes you proud of Warrington.

I do not agree that this town is a great place to live. I cannot forget or move on after what happened to Garry Newlove, Ryan Kelly, Christopher Lamberth or Roy Waterfield.

None of these men should have died the way they did. What kind of people could forget what happened to them?

I would not go into Warrington town centre at night for a gold clock but I remember when you could and were not afraid to. So how can Warrington be a great place to live.?

There used to be so many places to go and so much to do. There were cinemas, theatres, dance halls, a rollerskating rink and plenty of other places.

You did not have to stay in one job if you did not like it, Warrington had so much more to offer than what is going on now and we were not afraid to go out on our own.

I have not forgotten the Warrington bombings, such a sad time for all of us, particularly the families involved.

I wish I could be more of a positive person and move on and try to see the good side of life, but I find it hard to do that. We are not all the same in this life and I cannot see that being a bad thing.

You are what you are.
