WE have a disabled bay outside of our house for my son, who has cerebral palsy and cannot walk too far.
Since Friday, October 4, a car has been parked in the bay without a blue badge and has one parking ticket.
I rang Warrington Borough Council on Friday, October 11, to complain and get the car removed.
Its reply was that it was policy that a car has to be parked there for two weeks before it will take action.
I find this disgraceful.
With our street, Dudley Street, being quite a busy street, sometimes we have to park right at the top of the street.
My son then has to walk at least 200 metres to get to our house, and he has fallen over a few times already.
I just find this totally unacceptable for a car with no blue badge to only have one parking ticket for having been parked in a disabled bay for 11 days so far.
It is totally unfair on disabled people.
From a very unhappy resident of Warrington.
