WE read with great interest your article about the ongoing possibility of this new road at Bridge Foot (Warrington Guardian, September 26).
I note that it is intended to relieve traffic and pollution at Bridge Foot, but what has not been mentioned is the increase in pollution at the location of the new road.
We live in what could be the shadow of this new road, as it passes over Liverpool Road, and we already have considerable pollution issues.
Our window sills are always covered in black dust.
If the new road goes ahead, we can foresee even greater levels of dirty air.
Your reporter Aran Dillon had an article online which appears to suggest it is not guaranteed that the road will come.
We do hope that it does not, as it will disrupt our green spaces around the Sankey Valley Park area.
