TWO weeks ago, on Creamfields weekend, I was out cycling.
Unbeknown to me, my wallet dropped out of my pocket with birthday money and a small amount of cash from an eBay sale locally.
Two weeks passed by, and I thought it had gone.
But a random phone call from Halifax said somebody returned it to the bank.
A guy left his name and address randomly.
On the way back, I had a celebratory pint with a mate in Costello’s in Stockton Heath, and it just happened to be by chance the barman’s friend was the guy who returned the wallet.
In the 16 years that he had been the manager of Halifax, he had never seen this happen.
I spoke to the guy that returned the wallet and he actually saw the wallet fall out of my pocket and tried to chase after me because of my striking yellow bicycle.
