I ALWAYS thought that Labour was the party for the working class, but I now see I was wrong.
Can we get back to a Government elected by the people and for the people, not for MPs’ own gain?
As soon as they get in power, they decide to pick on the easiest target – the good old pensioners.
This is even though they have worked all their lives and paid their taxes – probably unlike some of the MPs – and even now some are still paying tax on their pensions.
MPs are still, and always will be, a law to themselves with their ‘do as I say’ attitude.
Even listening to Prime Minister’s Questions recently, I thought I was listening to a bunch of three-year-olds (apologies to three-year-olds) with their booing and cheering.
I worked for more than 50 years, now have a disabled wife to look after, and I cannot get pension credit.
I have tried a number of times only to be told I do not qualify.
As a last resort, may I ask all MPs to do the job the country has voted them in Parliament for and not to line their own pockets?
Also, I think that the House of Lords is outdated, and is just another way of topping up an already massive allowance.
If this is impossible, can I ask the Prime Minister if I can apply for the House of Lords so I can sit all day in a comfy chair to sleep while getting an allowance?
Anyway, I have had my say, so I will say good luck to all pensioners.
