I READ with interest your statistics relating to GP surgeries (Warrington Guardian, July 18).
Unfortunately, there is an essential measure which is difficult to quantify.
Namely, how many patients have received such disastrous treatment that they have found it necessary to move to another surgery.
Monitoring the number of patients per surgery, year on year, might show up a trend.
Bearing in mind that surgeries do not have to formally account for the loss of a patient, this loophole needs closing.
