I HAVE to agree with the letter in last week about the swing bridges (Warrington Guardian, July 4).

I drove by the other day and what a state.

Now we have a new MP, perhaps we can push for Peel to do something about the state of them.

They look a shambles, a state, and they are an embarrassment to the town.

Can the Government not force Peel to do something?

It wants to sue United Utilities for sewage. How about someone takes action to force Peel to maintain the bridges it owns?

Peel is a multi-million-pound firm, so surely it has the money to sort this out.

The people of Warrington have been patient enough. Now is the time to fix them for good.
