THE article in the April 13 edition of the Warrington Guardian about striking junior doctors and pay woes surely only goes to show how far Britain (the fifth richest economy in the world) has now descended into chaos and injustice.
Many readers will remember when Britain was described in the press as the ‘sickman of Europe’, and our society was said to be suffering from ‘British disease’.
This was in the 1970s, and the current unrest must surely prove that this country is still suffering the same class division mentality in the 2020s as was the case 50 years ago.
Other democratic countries have long since shaken off their master and servant thinking, which Britain has retained for centuries.
How sad and pathetic. This is why a move to Australia makes perfect sense. Britain’s loss will be an Aussie gain – and rightly so.
