People used to say that the ‘streets were paved with gold’, unlikely about our town but they have certainly been cleaner (Warrington Guardian, March 16).
Sadly the phrase should actually be ‘streets are paved with dog dirt’.
There are plenty of bins around the town so that can’t be the excuse – and, at less than a penny each for poop bags, the ‘cost of living crisis’ shouldn’t be blamed for (literally) pricing them out of the dog owner’s reach.
Please do the right thing – bag it and bin it.
Nobody wants to clean dog dirt from their shoes.
