WE all remember Boris’ battle bus with the slogan “Take Back Control”.
With the Daresbury, Fir Grove and Paddington house hotels being used to accommodate asylum seekers, that says to me that along with the Northern Ireland protocol, Brexit is not only a failed political ideology of the European Research group who are of the extreme right of the Tory party, but also a failed Boris vanity project.
Our government need to strike an agreement with Europe on putting in place asylum processing facilities in France as an example to identify genuine applicants and allow them into our country.
Non-genuine can then be dealt with the country of failure point under their legislation. This I firmly believe should of been done during the Brexit negotiations.
To continually allow these people to be exploited by criminal gangs and have their lives put at risk in crossing the channel and then to end up being locked up in hotels with the possible conclusion of being sent to Rwanda is not just inhumane behaviour from our government but also of a vast waste of the British taxpayers money that could be funnelled into the NHS. But then again Boris’s bus also said ‘£350m for the NHS’.
