IS it me or are our roads completely gridlocked again?
It feels as if the daily commute has become the grind it was before the pandemic.
And the biggest issue?
Sankey Way and the route into town from Great Sankey and Penketh.
We were told the Centre Park link road would be a bypass which would save all our problems.
Actually it is just a road to a new housing estate and all that has happened is the traffic problems have just moved from around Bridge Foot to 400 yards further back at the Pink Eye roundabout and near Bank Quay.
It is total gridlock at rush hour and seems to be getting worse.
At least all the people moving into the homes on Centre Park have a nice new road.
And if you are turning onto Chester Road, it is actually fine.
But the problems it has caused elsewhere really makes me think this was £18million down the pan.
We love building homes in Warrington but we do not seem to care about improving the infrastructure needed to cope.
