IF this week is anything to go by, the upcoming closure of the swing bridge in Stockton Heath could be a disaster.
Temporary lights at the crossroads by Victoria Square have seen traffic chaos, with huge queues and cars unable to move.
This is half term week with fewer vehicles on the road. What will it be like when the road is totally closed?
Chaos, and we still have not heard any details about how it will be managed or when it will start.
Surely Peel should think of a way of keeping it open or the town will grind to a halt.
Time to act now before the road closes.
