HOW depressing to enter Bank Park near to the famous Golden Gates and be met with the sight of an antiquated former toilet block (The Cottage).
It is now a magnet for graffiti, fly-tipping and petty crime.
Surely I cannot be the only Warringtonian finding this an offensive sight, especially in such close proximity to the Golden Gates.
Considering that a similar derelict toilet block was recently demolished, opposite the Tesco supermarket and the rugby stadium, the continued existence of this structure is surely indefensible to any right-thinking person.
During the recent Proclamation of King Charles III at the Town Hall, the hundreds of tourists and sightseers were treated with disrespect and contempt by the lack of facilities, which should have been taken for granted.
The mindset of Bank Hall staff and Warrington Borough Council officials surely leaves a lot to be desired.
