REGARDING Mrs Green's letter in last week's Guardian about the crash waiting to happen.
The same thing happened to me when I was going to see my daughter in Latchford.
I nearly had a car run in to the right hand side of my car, which wanted to go on to the Riverside Retail Park, saying he was in front of me, but he nearly broke my overtaking mirror.
But the arrogant young man pulled up in front of me on the bridge, saying I was in the wrong lane, and should have gone on to the retail park, as there are two lanes.
He must have thought I did not know how to drive, being a pensioner of 67.
I then rang the police after I got home to ask if I was in the right lane, to be told there are markings on the road to look out for, but young drivers of today do not take the time to look out for them.
I told him that you cannot keep looking at the markings as well as driving safely, he then laughed saying that they have had a lot of accidents at the same spot.
So why doesn't the council change the road on to the retail park to only one lane so as to avoid confusion?
Something needs to be done before someone gets killed E J NEWENS Latchford
