I READ with great interest your latest article on post office closures in Warrington.
It appears that there are, in fact, two Helen Southworths, both of whom happen to be the Labour MP for Warrington South. Fellow residents, how lucky we are! Double the lack of representation.
The Helen Southworth you mention has apparently been campaigning against the latest round of Labour Government post office closures which, as we all know, have now been inflicted on Warrington.
The other Helen Southworth that I am more familiar with is the one who has not mentioned post office closures even once in more than 10 years in Parliament.
I call upon all residents in Warrington south to, if possible, log on to beta@theyworkforyou.com as proof. You will see first hand the support Helen Southworth has given this huge issue, which impacts on us all. Not forgetting our fellow neighbours in Warrington North, you too can view what Helen Jones does.
At the back end of last year the largest debate took place in Parliament with questions to ministers over this huge issue. More than 100 questions had to be tabled. How many questions came from the Helens?
In fact this Helen Southworth has never voted against the Labour Government on any significant issue. Ever. Remember when Gordon took five billion pounds from our pension funds - look at them now.
Can you please tell me which one of these is the real Helen Southworth?
