I VISITED Marshall Gardens today.
It wasn’t a planned visit, I was just passing.
What I found was a garden full of love and respect, and I felt it.
A mother whose son was tragically killed while fighting in Afghanistan alongside five of his comrades came up with the idea to revitalise the run down, overgrown gardens.
There are six blossom trees that were planted with love and respect in memory of her son Pte Daniel Wade and his five comrades, 12 themed benches that were beautifully designed with love and respect to our armed services and our emergency services.
To the mother of Daniel Wade, Lisa Billings, I say thank you.
It was a beautiful idea you had and you brought it to life, all put together with love and respect and that’s what I felt.
