LAST year, unbeknown to me, McDonald’s on Winwick Road in Warrington introduced CCTV cameras so they can fine people who park for too long.
Last year, just after lockdown, I met with a friend and her son and we spent a few hours dining and catching up.
However, a few months ago I started receiving fines through the post from a company called UK Parking Control Ltd, a company McDonald’s use to enforce their new rule.
On looking online, the advice was to ignore the letters as they are not official but now I am being threatened with legal action.
Has anyone else had issues?
How can McDonald’s do this?
There were no visible signs and we were never made aware of the new rules.
I feel this needs to be shared to help others from falling foul to this abuse of position by what we used to call a family friendly restaurant.
