I SEE knee jerk local politics got a few Westbrook/Old Hall residents what they wanted.
Now the needs of the very few (voters) are messing up the needs of the many (voters).
The answer is: remove and sell the Westbrook/Asda traffic lights and use the money to properly maintain the bridges already in place.
Ask the police and parents to stop the kids that think constantly pressing the pelican crossing buttons further down Cromwell Avenue, causing more congestion is fun'.
Finally, to any complainers in the Old Hall Green area, I say as every road in your estate is named after an intrepid explorer, try exploring 100 yards up the road to the four-way bridge, which serves the Westbrook shopping area rather well.
