THE Warrington Guardian invited the candidates from each of the three main political parties in the town to take part in a web chat last Thursday.
The aim was an interactive dialogue with constituents over topical issues.
Both the Conservatives and Lib Dems participated, Labour did not.
The reason finally given was that Mrs Southworth was too busy in London performing her duties as an MP. Fair enough. But the Labour spin machine failed to mention that both Ms Crotty and I had previously provided more than 12 dates each. None of which, it seems, were suitable for Mrs Southworth.
Warrington can draw its own conclusions from Mrs Southworth's reluctance to talk to her constituents and publicly defend the Blair-Brown legacy.
