I HAVE just had a very pleasant evening at the Sacred Heart Church on Liverpool Road.
The children from the primary school have a small band, which was delightful to listen to, but what really amazed me was how well behaved and disciplined all the children were.
At a signal from their teacher, they stood, turned, and stepped up on to the church pews to face their audience without fuss or noise.
We were then treated to a selection of songs all of which were sung loud and clear, with obvious enjoyment from the performers.
They are a credit to the teaching staff at the school, who must have put a lot of time and effort into their programme.
Also featured in this concert evening was Warrington's own Bactiguard Wire Brass band. What a fantastic sound they have.
If you missed them watch out for their next concert. This band is going places!
It was a truly delightful evening and my congratulations to all concerned.
