I REFER to the traffic lights put up at the Westbrook Asda store.
I totally agree with John Timperley and Tony Pelham; the disruption caused by the road works was bad enough, but now we have standing traffic in all directions.
If safety for pedestrians was needed, why not a footbridge like there is on the next roundabout?
I objected to the roundabout being put on Twenty Acre Road when those houses were being built, as I knew all traffic from there would travel on to Twenty Acre Road and so on to Cromwell Avenue where traffic was already very heavy.
However, as usual, the wonderful planners did not seem to consider this at all. They will no doubt ignore all complaints about these lights, as I very much doubt if they live in this area, or use these roads on a regular basis. If they did they would soon change things, especially when the school run occurs from all the schools in this area, and so adds further disruption.
I have sometimes waited for almost 15 minutes to emerge on to Cromwell Avenue.
So once again, well done Warrington planning department.
