HERE we are in the third week of November, the clocks have gone back, it’s dark, it’s raining, we are ankle deep in leaves that are blocking the already blocked drains and almost every street corner is flooded.
Why? Because our roads are just parking places for people who will not use the car parks and mothers who carry around their legless children.
Also people who think they have a divine right to leave wheelie bins on footpaths.
This causes a knock-on effect as when the council do decide to unblock drains and clear up fallen leaves they are unable to do so for the said reasons I’ve given.
As council tax payers we deserve our fair share of the cake.
We have endured a week of Halloween and five nights of fireworks, non-stop screaming and banging, terrified animals barking. When’s it all going to end?
Maybe with the tax cuts the chancellor is contemplating to introduce. After all, we are supposed to be destitute yet money can be found for these very expensive money burners.
Police cutbacks will mean more and more of these anti-social pastimes will go on and on.
Bonfires piled higher and higher burning for days and poor old Volkswagen carrying the can for emissions.
