THE Arctic Monkeys at the Parr Hall were brilliant and well worth waiting a few hours in the cold that morning to buy the tickets.

I have always enjoyed the Parr Hall as a venue for top acts and it would be good for it to be able to attract more acts like that rather than sporadically.

It would be a huge boost to Warrington if more events like this could be held.

This is why I could not believe the sheer stupidity of some of the crowd who were complete idiots.

Those people who found it funny to clearly embarrass the band and themselves by throwing beer (or worse I expect) at the band and even more stupidly at the stage with the amount of electrical equipment on it.

It is those people who encouraged the band to leave early without an encore.

They did not come to Warrington for the reaction that they got from quite a large number in the crowd.

Why were people cheering for Warri Warri Warrington' as if they were at a rugby match? Why didn't they stop even after the lead singer had shaken his head in disgust?

I was gutted. If we get no more acts like this in Warrington again it will be down to those people.
