May I firstly congratulate Warrington Wolves on a fantastic stadium and playing surface.

How envious we are of such a ground and, yes, as much as we enjoy beating Warrington and Wigan at rugby, we need a good Wigan and Warrington for the health of the game.

But sadly, a first class stadium is being run by amateurs.

Friday evening at The Halliwell was a disgrace. The west stand is reserved for away fans and Saints fans do not need any help filling it. But we were surrounded by Warrington fans because tickets had sold out. The club was advising them to ring Saints to get tickets - this remark was from a Warrington fan.

I know rugby fans should stand side by side, but in the real world, booze-filled fans do not mix. Warrington stewards and police had to intervene to remove some Warrington fans from the Saints end as trouble was brewing.

My wife and I felt intimidated and uneasy and ultimately left before the end because arguments were breaking out due to both sets of fans looking through rose-tinted specs towards their team and excess alcohol being consumed.

Also the PA was announcing Keep off the yellow-lined areas' but the deputy female steward of the west stand was telling Wolves fans to stand in these areas! Good health and safety. In her defence the problem was caused by too many fans within the areas. Once again, they have not learned from the very first match at The Halliwell.

Finally, it would be nice for Mr Cullen to come out and say "we did not play well and were beaten by a better side on the night" instead of blaming the officials?

Yes, Saints' first try was dubious, but Gleeson's was a double movement. Take them out of the equation what about the other eight, and we did not play well in the first half.
