The people of Warrington seriously need to get on to their MP if they want to secure the future of their hospital.
Last week further cuts were announced internally of approximately 160 beds. One of the wards to be closed included A6, a major surgical ward. The hospital is already struggling to accommodate A & E patients and planned surgery patients.
Ambulances are often queuing outside A & E through a lack of beds and patients' operations cancelled on the morning of their surgery. This is very distressing for patients.
Most staff are having to re-apply for their jobs a second time in less than six months due to these changes. Can anyone explain how the closure of two theatres and 160 beds is viable in a hospital already struggling to cope with the demand, without even thinking about the ever- increasing population in the town.
People of Warrington, this is your hospital and you have to fight for it. Stand up for your rights, get on to your MP and fight for what is yours!
