I WRITE with regard to the refuse collection in Old Hall on February 16.
The bins were collected as normal on this day, but as I went to collect the bin from my own front door, I noticed it was not there.
So, as it was my day off work and, still in my pyjamas, I looked for the bin next door, but then had to walk all the way down to the other end of the street to find it.
It was raining and cold and I should not have had to do the binmen's job for them.
My bin is clearly marked with my house number, and my house is also clearly marked with the number.
Had the bin not been shut properly, or if it had been left a few inches from the kerb, the refuse would not have been collected.
As this was not the case, I would expect that, when the bin is emptied, it would be put back exactly where it had been taken from, and not left in someone else's garden.
I am a hard-working council tax-payer who should expect a bin to be placed properly for the £80 per month tax charge, instead of this second-class service with petty rules and regulations.
