MEMBERS of the Warrington Wolves coaching staff are taking part in a fundraising challenge at the club’s training ground later this month.
Director of rugby Gary Chambers and assistant coach Richard Marshall will be among those pushing a weighted sled and aiming to keep it moving for a full 24 hours.
The challenge will take place at The Wire’s Padgate training base on Monday, October 28, in aid of the Reverse Rett charity for which Chambers and Marshall are both ambassadors.
Charity founder Andy Stevenson will also be taking part in the event in his latest bid to raise awareness and funds for the treatment and cure of Rett syndrome – a rare genetic disorder that affects brain development.
Mr Stevenson’s daughter Beth and stepdaughter Amber both suffer from Rett and since founding the charity in 2010, he has personally raised more than £250,000 through various challenges.
