WARRINGTON Wolves have confirmed the progression of nine young players into their Academy team for next year.

All nine were stars of the club’s Scholarship side that won six and drew one of its eight games in 2024 and will now form part of the club’s under 18s side going forward.

Four of the intake progressed through junior clubs within the town – hooker Leyton Haddrell and loose forward Ellis Livesey are Woolston Rovers juniors while loose forward Tom Marshall and second-rower Oliver Bishop both came through at Latchford Giants, with the latter also spending time in the age groups at Crosfields.

The players were introduced to the Halliwell Jones Stadium crowd at The Wire’s final regular season match against London Broncos.

“There is an abundance of potential in this group and their progression into our academy is just reward for how they have performed and conducted themselves on our pathway thus far,” the club’s head of youth Ryan O’Brien said.

“We’re excited for what the future holds for them at our club.

“Whilst the players have worked extremely hard, they have received plenty of help on the way and a lot of credit and thanks must go to their families, community club coaches and teachers as well as our pathway staff and scouting team.”
