WARRINGTON Wolves have three representatives in this year's Super League Dream Team.

The annual selection, which was revealed this afternoon, sees Matt Dufty selected at full-back and Danny Walker at hooker while Matty Ashton is one of the two wingers.

For all three, it is their first ever Dream Team selection and as a club, it is the first time The Wire have had more than one player in the team since 2020, when Toby King and Mike Cooper were named.

Indeed, there has been only one year in which they have been better represented since the Dream Team was first picked in 1996.

In the League Leaders' Shield-winning year of 2016, the Dream Team included four Wire players - Ryan Atkins, Kurt Gidley, Chris Hill and Ben Currie.

Dufty's place in the team recognises a stellar year in which he has been one of the competition's most dangerous players.

Having made 4,234 metres with the ball, the Australian is far clear at the top of Super League's metre-making charts while his 36 try involvements (17 tries, 19 assists) is higher than any full-back in the competition.

As a whole, only Hull KR half-back Mikey Lewis has been directly involved in more tries with 43 (19 tries, 24 assists).

Indeed, he has finished the season in fine try-scoring form having touched down 16 times in his past 11 games.

His kicking game has also been a major point of difference, with his four "40-20s" the highest figure of any player.
