WITH his contract at Warrington Wolves coming to an end, Gil Dudson’s next move has now been confirmed.

The prop, who has spent most of this season away from the club on loan at Salford Red Devils, will drop into the Championship for 2025 to join Oldham.

Having won the League One title this year, the ambitious Greater Manchester outfit are planning for life in the second tier and have confirmed the experienced Welshman as their first signing.

Dudson made just the one substitute appearance for Warrington this season during the Round One loss at Catalans Dragons and was then allowed to rejoin former club Salford on a season-long loan deal in March.

He has made 14 appearances for Paul Rowley’s men this year.

"I'm really excited – Oldham have absolutely killed it this year by winning the league three or four games early,” Dudson told Roughyeds TV.

“I'm really looking forward to the move and getting involved with all the lads.

“I'm enjoying myself in Super League and had opportunities to stay there but once I had met with (managing director) Mike Ford and Longy (head coach Sean Long), they sold me the vision on Oldham.

“I started off playing in League One with South Wales Scorpions, that was my entrance into rugby league.

“There was something that excited me about the opportunity of coming down and helping grow and build something in this journey that they want to go on - I want to be a part of that."
