WARRINGTON Wolves full-back Matt Dufty has had surgery on the knee injury he sustained against Leeds Rhinos in the Magic Weekend round at Elland Road in Leeds.
Club chiefs say the timeline for his record is four to six weeks.
On that basis, the first game he could be back in contention for a place in Sam Burgess' side is the fixture in the final regular round of Super League action against London Broncos on Friday, September 20.
However, if Dufty goes the full six weeks, he could be in contention for the play-offs semi-finals on the weekend of October 5/6 should The Wire reach that stage.
Sam Burgess has the options of Cai Taylor-Wray and Josh Thewlis to take up the full-back reins in Dufty's absence, starting with tomorrow night's trip to Castleford Tigers.
