MATTY Ashton stands on the verge of hitting a significant career milestone.

And given the try-scoring form he has been in for Warrington Wolves of late, it is entirely plausible he will reach it at London Broncos on Sunday.

The flying winger needs just two more tries to reach 100 for his career, with his touchdown against Hull KR being the 65th he has scored for The Wire since joining the club in 2020.

It was also the seventh try he has scored in his past seven Super League appearances, with two of those coming in the recent victory at Wigan Warriors while he also scored in wins over St Helens, Leeds Rhinos and Catalans Dragons as well as the defeat to Salford Red Devils.

When added to the 30 tries he scored in his sole prolific season in the Championship for Swinton Lions in 2019 and the three he notched for England during last year’s Test series against Tonga, they are up to impressive figures for the 26-year-old, who recently committed his long-term future to Warrington by penning a deal to keep him at the club until the end of 2028.
