SAM Burgess could not say for sure whether Paul Vaughan had passed his late head injury assessment during Warrington Wolves' victory at Wigan Warriors.
Perhaps reassuringly, however, he insisted the prop was "totally fine" in the aftermath of his side's dominant 40-4 win at the Brick Community Stadium.
With his side in a commanding position, Burgess all of a sudden had two issues crop up at once as full-back Matt Dufty was sin-binned for a tip tackle on Liam Marshall, meaning a nervous wait for Monday's Match Review Panel findings awaits.
At the same time, Vaughan was led from the field for a HIA, failure of which would rule him out of the clash with Hull KR next week.
With James Harrison already due to miss the game through suspension, it is a potential issue Burgess could do without.
"I don’t know yet," Burgess said when asked in his post-match press conference whether Vaughan had passed his HIA.
"He’s totally fine in there but we thought he might have had a bump on his head.
"I think he’ll be okay. He seems fine."
There was also another worry for Jordy Crowther, who was returning from a setback in his recovery from the ankle injury he suffered during the Challenge Cup Final.
The forward limped off during the second half, but Burgess insisted that was through an abundance of caution and unrelated to the issue that has plagued him for nearly two months.
"I was told it was more he got stood on with his foot," he said.
"It was more of a precaution really – we didn’t see the risk in the moment. We were in control of the game so we gave him a rest."
