LUKE Yates looks set to make his Warrington Wolves debut against St Helens on Friday.

The forward, whose move from Huddersfield Giants for next year was brought forward earlier this week, trained with his new teammates for the first time on Tuesday and has been named in their 21-man squad for the Round 18 trip to the Totally Wicked Stadium.

His addition is the only change to this week's 21 as he replaces Joe Bullock, whose loan move to Salford Red Devils for the remainder of 2024 was confirmed yesterday.

Yates' arrival is a boost to a Wire squad that is starting to become stretched by injuries, although forward Jordy Crowther is named in this week's squad despite aggravating an ankle injury against Leeds Rhinos on Thursday.

Lachlan Fitzgibbon (shoulder) is also out while Toby King (hamstring) and Josh Thewlis (shoulder) are also not yet fit to return while long-term absentees Leon Hayes (ankle), Joe Philbin (adductor muscle), Wesley Bruines (hamstring), Connor Wrench and Luke Thomas (both ACL) remain unavailable.
