THERE are a couple of key men missing from the Huddersfield Giants squad that will travel to Warrington Wolves on Friday night.
Indeed, the two men that formed a lethal left-edge combination during their run of good form earlier this year – centre Esan Marsters and winger Adam Swift – are both not named in Ian Watson’s 21 for the game.
Cook Islands international Marsters did play in the Giants’ last game – a 22-18 loss to Catalans Dragons in Perpignan – but Swift has not featured since limping off at half-time during the Challenge Cup semi-final loss to The Wire back in May.
There is a place in the squad for former Warrington captain Chris Hill, who missed the semi-final through injury but has returned to the fold for Watson’s men in recent weeks.
Hill’s fellow ex-Wires Harvey Livett and Andre Savelio are also in contention to play at their old stomping ground while Luke Yates will face Warrington for the first time since his move to The Halliwell Jones Stadium for 2025 was confirmed.
The Huddersfield boss has also opted to bring Thomas Deakin, Aidan McGowan and Jack Billington into his 21 for the trip to The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
