WARRINGTON can beat Wigan if they play their A game.
That is the view of Ben Currie.
The Wire veteran started at loose forward on Saturday in the Challenge Cup Final but finished in the second row following the injury to Aussie Lachlan Fitzgibbon.
This year has seen a resurgence in the career of Currie as a ball-playing loose forward.
But he said there was massive frustration in the dressing room following the defeat and that saving one of their worst performances of the season for the showpiece was not in the script.
He added: "If we had our A game we could definitely beat them. It probably adds to the frustration that we only lost by 10 points despite the performance.”
And he said the players will be determined to get back to winning ways on Friday.
He added: “After the game when you lost like that you want to get out again. So we will rest up and get ready for Friday.
“Sorry to the fans, we really appreciate the support, they have backed us all year so a massive thank you to them.”
